Scott Layman
Scott Layman, an avid outdoorsman, was practically raised in the woods by his father. From fishing in trout streams to hunting big game out west and everything in between, if it was in season, Scott was in pursuit. During high school, he excelled in shooting sports, quickly making the All-American state team and Junior Olympics. This achievement earned him a full scholarship at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, where he became a National Champion shooter.
After college, Scott founded Elk River Outfitters in Tennessee, specializing in turkey, deer, and waterfowl hunting. The business has since expanded to Florida and Arkansas, along with the launch of another outfitting service called Legacy Fowl. Guiding hunts for waterfowl, turkey, deer, and elk for nearly 300 days a year, Scott depends on high-quality gear to keep him comfortable and effective in the field. After a year of testing Dirty’s Outerwear™, he confidently chose to partner with them.
